Areas of Practice

Auto fraud

An astonishing percentage of car sales involve fraud, deception, or unfair conduct. Automobile fraud is so prevalent because car purchases are so complex. Just a few examples of auto fraud include the seller failing to disclose prior frame damage, prior accidents, prior use as a rental, or prior major repairs; selling for more than the advertised price; concealing the vehicle's actual milage; or concealing the inclusion of optional "add-ons".

Defective Products

When you purchase a product, you have certain rights as a consumer. The most basic of these rights is that the product functions as it was advertised and it is safe when used as directed.

Oklahoma Lemon Law

The Oklahoma Lemon Law is meant to protect consumers from defective motor vehicles. A new vehicle may be a lemon if there is a defect covered by the warranty which substantially impairs the use or value.

Credit reporting

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) was created to protect consumers from a variety of credit related issues including inaccurate reporting of credit information, unauthorized or unlawful disclosure of credit reports, and identity theft.

Unfair Business Practices

When a business engages in unfair practices, the consumer can be greatly harmed. Unfair business practices can range from selling a product that does not work as intended to harassing phone calls to pay off debt. If you feel as though you have been harmed by a business, you might be the victim of unfair and deceptive business practices.

Debt collection harrassment

The purpose behind the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is to eliminate abusive debt collections practices by debt collectors and to protect consumers against these abusive practices. Abusive debt collection practices contribute to the number of personal bankruptcies, marital instability, loss of jobs, and to invasions of individual privacy.

I think the first duty of society is justice.
